At RetailFirst Insurance Company, we understand that in order to be here tomorrow we have to do the right thing today.

In 1977, Petcoff cofounded Summit, the managing general agent of RetailFirst and BusinessFirst Insurance Companies. The next year, he formed the Florida Retail Federation Self Insurers Fund—which became the state’s largest workers’ compensation self-insurers fund. Petcoff retired from the position of president of Summit in 1986 and joined the board of directors for RetailFirst and BusinessFirst. In November 2010, the Fund converted to RetailFirst Insurance Company, a stock insurance company within a mutual holding company system.
